Callum is a highly skilled performer with a focus on historically informed performance practices. His versatility allows him to engage in a variety of settings, including orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo performances.
In his role as a double bassist, he serves as the section principal for multiple ensembles in Aberdeen and frequently participates as a guest player in various locations across the UK.
In addition to his double bass work, Callum is recognised for his proficiency as a baroque cellist and viola da gamba player, specialising in accompanying vocalists and operatic performances. Notably, he contributed to the first performance of Francesca Caccini's 'Alcina' in Scotland, serving as a cellist, bassist, and recorder player.
